Single ended to balanced Aikido with mosfets in buffer position
I've always admired John Broskie but for one reason or another never found a circuit of his that entirely met my needs. I'm not at the level of knowledge to design and prove my own circuits but I do know enough to recognize some good circuit characteristics when I seem them. His has them in spades, especially regarding PSRR.
Has anyone out there (gurus, you know who you are), thought of combining his PSRR circuits with circuits you are familiar with with and work with frequently. I'm thinking specifically of Tubelab George's powerdrive. The details of how the PSRR implementation would work, if it could work, is over my head. I do know enough though that it would be a worthy goal.
I'm plinking along on my Ipad, (computer died), so I can't put in attachments from JB's site. That might be a good thing ethically. Basically the circuit would be a variation of single end to differential Aikido, shown in his Feb 22, 2008 post. However the buffer stage would be using mosfets, ala powerdrive. JB shows a version of this in his Nov 10, 2004 post, about one third way from the bottom.
Like I said, I know the basics but the technicalities of implementing the PSRR is over my head. I don't even know if it can work in AB2. I should add that the main reason I haven't tried JB's circuits in the past is because his standard Aikido is SE and also because I'd like to try George's implementation of AB2.
