Shuguang’s Treasure Series Shuguang Treasure Series | Grant Fidelity Home Audio (300B, 2a3, EL34, KT66 etc) have received good feedback . .
Anyone tried these?: Pavane / Psvane Reference T-series | Grant Fidelity Home Audio |

Extremely overpriced, I've heard many shuguangs and was not impressed, I would be doubtful that these would be anything better. I've found usually JJ's are a much better value.

I would still be skeptical, and I also think it's funny that the audiphools don't yet know about the 9-pin 6CG7, even in that review he states that the 9-pin equivalent is the ECC82! Back on topic, I would think some surplus or NOS would be better for the money, unless you're set on using new production.

NOS 845s and even 211s cost more than the new ones.
the question then for me is which of the several types of 845s |

Sorry to drudge up this slightly stale topic, but I wanted to give a little perspective from someone who has actually used the treasures rather than poopooing them from the sidelines. Hate to link another site, but read my review of the treasures here. Shuguang Treasure KT-88-Z and Grant Fidelity
They are a complete departure from the garbage tubes they usually make. I am trying the psvane 12at7-ts and will be posting my impressions on those later. |
