Default Need help to verify Amperex 7119's genuineness

I just bought 2 Amperex 7119 to replace the 5687 in the I/V stage of my DAC-end. They have identical date code 81/20 on the glass.

I'm not quite acquainted with tubes. I noticed that all Amperex tubes are marked with "Amperex" in orange, but mine are marked with "AMPEREX", all alphabets are capitalised. Are they remarked tubes?

Can some kind soul help me out? Thanks in advance.

How do they sound?

Amperex seems to have made most of the 7119s I have seen. If they weren't made by Amperex they were made by another quality manufacturer since all the 7119/7044 were high quality.

Don't worry be happy.

Thanks for your consolation.

Regarding the sound, I haven't put them in the socket yet.

FWIW -- The Amperex 7119's I have were made in USA, and look quite different from the other made in Holland Amperex tubes I have (ECC88, ECC85 "Bugle Boy").

Hmm.. I wonder if mine are fakes

I guess they change the markings from time to time. I don't know my date codes but I do observe that these two 7119s are identical except for the printing. They also have no marking etched into the glass.
