Is it possible to use the 11N90C as Q1 and Q2 in the Gary Pimm "self bias CCS" circuit? http://http://www.pimmlabs.com/web/self_bias.htm
The "SBCCS" normally uses the IRF820B mosfet which has Vmax of 500V. In the "Swenson regulator" Pimm uses the 11N90C that withstand 900V so I was thinking about the possibility to use the same 11N90C in the SBCCS circuit. My problem is that in a tube poweramp I am planning, the SBCCS will see about 700Vdc at switch-on, before the amps starts pulling current through the powersupply - filter and the B+ settels at 450Vdc. |
