is this a good pp output transformer for the miniblok2 amp?
1 PP push-pull 10K 10Watt output transformer 4 VT-25 10 on eBay.ca (item 300438381961 end time 16-Aug-10 01:59:59 EDT) thanks |

so 10k is the impedance of the primary winding? 260 ohm DC Resistor 15 Henry - what does this mean? a henry is a measure of inductance that tends to keep current flowing. the author of this design recomends a hammond 125d transformer which is described as "Primary Inductance 4.48 Henries." is this critical in any way? how is this relevant? thanks Last edited by chopchip; 10th August 2010 at 02:12 AM. |

Well, with some quick mental math(ie,I could be way off!),something in the range of 6-12K:8ohms would be suitable,10K is right in the ballpark. IIRC,More inductance will lead to a 'fuller' low end.
