6DJ8 / 6922 / ECC88 / 7308 can be good alternatives, but it depends on the circuit.
Do you have a schematic of how and where the 6N1 tube is used?

The chinese 6n1 is a sick (and very different) puppy, but very often, tube amp manufacturers design around the russian 6n1p and plugin chinese toys afterwards.

If the max plate voltage of 90V (or 130V?) for these tubes need to be respected, it could be a problem.

The 6CG7 will also work well as a substitute for 6N1 in many circuits.

Well everytime I put 6922/6dj8/e88cc variant into the amp, they turn on, you see flashes in the tube and bye bye tube most if the time. I've seen people use pcc88 but I'm not game.. Isn't the 6n1 plate voltage ALOT higher than a 6dj8 variant?

Going back about 3 years - On a Music Angel PP EL34 Amp I successfully subbed Winged 'C' Svetlana 6N1P. They were MUCH better.
Cheers,
Ian
