my new tube experience

so yeah, I bought a jaycar valve hybrid last week,
I have them hooked up to a vintage? set of 12" 3 way speakers -
Anyway, I've gotta say, it is a nice sounding amp and goes really well with these older speakers.

What i also have is one of those valve headphone amp kits, decided to connect it between my mp3 player and the car headunit (which then feeds a 6CH amp) and what i've found is, i LIKE the chunky sound, you know, the sound just sounds thicker-

it helps hide some of the faults with mp3 audio too.

They sound quite good out of the box, but get better after they have about 100 hours on them. I have modded mine to lower the heater voltage for the tubes, as they are running way too bright.
