Ok then Joel, I can try upping the bias in Frankenhouse, see if I can get them near cutoff, 6V6s at 400V screen shouldn't need grid current to swing adequate peak current eh? It's got global NFB so it shouldn't have too much distortion. I'll try to take lots of measurements...
