Hi guys, I am looking for a schematic to replace the power supply on my pas3, I heard this was the weak point for this preamp.
I have already looked at curcio web page and his PS looks simple
but is little expensive.
I was hoping anybody has somethig I can build myself, even if I have to change the trans.

Change the transformer. The stock one is weedy and unreliable (yes, I know, there's at least two versions). Go to solid state rectification; high speed diodes are cheap. Replace the original filter caps with something newer and bigger. Replace the selenium rectifiers with silicon and replace the voltage doubler electrolytics, again with something newer and bigger. Then you can think about regulating. I've had very good experience with Curcio's regulator designs.
