Hi
I am currently using 6d22s bridge rectification for my amps(900V,200mA PC),yet i am thinking of swithing to 6cj3.As i understand they have diffirent sockets?I ve got a large stock of magnovals. The pros for switching is the h to c rating(900V vs 600V). Anyone who tried the two in a some amp configutation?Any help please? I find that the 6d22s are the smoothest tube rectifiers i have tried, but the cj seems appealing. Any comments? Thanks for the help. SD |

The sockets are nearly the same. The 6CJ3 uses NOVAR base, which is same as MAGNOVAL except pins are thinner.
6CJ3 works good in my 300B-SE for 5 years now, but I haven't compared to other rectifiers. |

Hi SC, I am in the final throws of building a GM70 amp and am using 2 6D22S tubes on each leg of the PTX so I can ensure that I can run 850v without issue. I have not played with the 6CJ3.
