im building that zsp1 set kit from decware. the 100k ohm pot it came with is not smooth at all, it feels like it has gravel in it. i sprayed it etc but no improvement. i have a nice 250k pot. is it allright to use this one instead? it is on the input of the amp right after the rca input jacks

i think it should work without problems. i saw tube pre that had (passive) 1meg pot on the input.......... greets |

I think it depends what the maximum gridleak resistance is of the input tube.
