S5 Amp Comparison?

Can anyone offer an opinion on the differences between the S5 K-LS8 and the older, but still available, K-12G?

Understanding that "better" is subjective, is the K-LS8 supposed to be an improved version?

This review was in December 2007 so I'm sure some changes have been made since then. ( to both amps

)

This review persuaded me to go for the K502 instead and I have been happy with my choice ever since. The K502 is very similar to the K12G except it uses 11BM8 valves.
