hi would anyone have experience with tremolo circuits. I replaced the old style tremolo module that was missing, with a new led style and I can get it to oscillate but the tremolo still doesn't work. Any ideas

Did you use an LDR module? Do you have a o'scope? The oscillator will oscillate with or without the module. You need to find out with a scope whether the "LDR" is working, you might need to change a couple of part values around the module circuit. Maybe a Fender replacement would work without any other mods. The Fender "module" is old school like the Sunn.

Forgot to mention "Takefive" is one of my favorite albums.
