World Audio Design 5881 Schematic needed

Just bought a S/H WAD 5881 amplifier.... needs a complete rebuild.....

Any have info on this amp they could let me have??

This grew out of the World Audio Design forum - someone there is likely to have a circuit. There might even be a few left who actually built the amp.

Is it the PP or the SE?

I can dredge through my old HFW supplements for you and see what I can find, it'll just be scanning and sending that will be the tricky part for me.

Thanks for the replies, I have tried to register on the WAD forum, still in the moderation queue after 1 week! It's the P-P version btw. Thank you.

Sadly the WD forum is a shadow of its former self. Looks like things have got worse since Peter Comeau headed off to China.

Somebody on Audio Talk might have a copy of the circuit.

John,

I have the Hi Fi world supplement from Oct 93 ... It features their amp that uses a EF86, Ecc83 and two 5881.

I can scan the schematic and email to you if this is the one.
