Default 6V6 PP load line

Hi,

I'm just wondering that how the load line to a push-pull 6V6 pair should be drawn. The datasheet ( http://boozhoundlabs.com/howto/pdf/6V6GT.pdf ) has an example bias point with 70mA idle current, grid voltage -19V and B+ of 285V. When looking at the plate curves, it would appear that at 285V B+ and -19V grid, the idle current would be around 25mA. So, what I'm doing wrong?

They'll be quoting current for the pair, a common convention in PP output stages. In my experience, 35mA/device is about right for 285v and -19v, depending on the particular tubes; the current production Russian stuff takes about 3 volts more bias for the same OP.
