Is there a tube that is equivelent to one half of a 12AU7? I'm converting a P-P to SE and would like to use one tube for each side. The base fromat isn't important.

The 7 pin mini 6C4 contains a single triode that's electrically equivalent to the pair in a 12AU7. So, that's an obvious possibility. Another option is to use 2X 12AU7s, with only a single section energized. Wire Channel "A" to use system 1 and Channel "B" to use system 2.

I've now tried to correct my capitalisation and discover it wasn't me - it's the forum that keeps converting valve types to lower case. Aaaargh!
