Hi all
I am doing a custom build and have an output transformer ready to be wired up. I am just struggling to go from paper to reality. On top of the transformer there is a sticker stating: Yel Org Red Brn Blk AN2 G2 CT G1 AN1 6.6kohm/8ohm 43% taps Sec 8 Ohm BLK/BLK + - What would go where. The design has 2 power valves in a push-pull arrangement. Could anybody point my wires where they should go for me please? Thank you |

This transformer is designed for ultra linear operation. The AN1 and AN2 go to the plates of the tubes (anodes) and the G1 and G2 go to the screen grids. If you are not using ultra linear operation, don't use the G terminals. And of course the speaker connects to the blk/blk connections.

Brilliant! Thank you! It was the G's that were throwing me off.
