Default Potentiometer question

http://www.schematicheaven.com/newam...at_minicat.pdf

looking at the Bass and treble pots, (actually all the potentiometers. Does the Treble and Bass increase as the resistance increases, or does it decrease?

Do I wire the first two pins on the pots or the second two, that's my main question!

Looking from the front (shaft) 1, 2, 3 and on schem also.
bass - decrease 1, 2
treble - increase 2, 3
I'd say audio taper 1meg (A)
