Looking for a good tube project for a buffer or low gain preamp.
Firstly looking at Aikido, then looking at White Cathode follower, seeing a lot of similarities... Finally deciding on Franks Ultimate linestage, also close to the two above, but it seems very weel done! How will it perform with other tubes than 12BH7A? Thinking ECC82 or ECC81 as I have them in numbers (for concept testing).... 12BH7A is expencive and I will use this when pretesting is succesfull... |

ECC82- quite nonlinear.
ECC81- gain is too high and it makes a mediocre cathode follower.
