6021 Load Line
Hi I am somewhat new to tubes. I was wondering why the 6021 "class a resistance coupled table" for different b+ voltages suggests such high resistor values for the plate starting at 100K. That is 15 times larger than the plate resistance. I was under the impression it should be around 2 times larger. It seems that it would not operate very cleaning with such a high resistor unless the b+ was very large. It also says that the grid should be around -6.5. This doesn't appear to be possible without extreme b+ voltages and it doesn't have anything higher than 250v in the table.
What would be good values for the plate and cathode resistor if high gain wasn't important? Here is the link http://frank.pocnet.net/sheets/141/6/6021.pdf |
