What's most funny is that people can't tell the difference between a real tube and a fake one.

I laughed when I walked into a customers office and he had one of those fake tube radios on the shelf. He was not happy with me.
I say we can now add a new acronym to the list ( KPD = knobs per dollar, ILS = if lightning strikes, UFO we all know that one) I propose: UGO = unknown glowing objects. Just like in all sci-fi movies, they add intrigue to things. I was thinking about sticking some neon and argon regulator tubes on the power supply of my Tesla Coil just for "effect". 99 percent of the people who see my demos would not question the function of them.

That last one looks like an R2D2 incubator.

That is the coolest idea! Glitz and bling on top to impress you ladies, and a real amp underneath

I haven't tried it, but I suspect one could pull the tubes out of the top and the music will keep flowing...... I was actually tempted to buy one (just out of curiosity) when they had a special ($NZ119), but by the time I made up my mind they had sold out.... It happens once in a while. Not sure why.
