I am planning on using the ECC99 at the 150vdv -4v 18mA operating point.
Looking for a good 1:1 IT to load it with. I am probably going with the Lundahl stuff... but unsure which one? Also, should I parallel the 2 sections of the ECC99 for 36mA? finally, would a grid choke on the input make any difference? Thanks for any help! Richard

Hi Richard,
I assume you are planning this as a single ended IT so my experience is only of general use to you. I have LL1660S IT's which I use with 6n6p in PP. I think the 6n6p is similar to ECC99. The IT upgrade was a nice improvement for me changing from a cap coupled LTP. Seems more lifelike and realistic. The IT's seem to provide better drive to the output tubes and the amp seems more powerful. John |

If you want to use Lundahl transformers, The K&K forum over at AA is your best shot. Kevin is very knowledgeable about the products he sells. Having engineering support from a knowledgeable reseller is very cool.
Just a satisfied customer. Doug

Back to this post again.
Would the Sowter 9525 be a good choice. paralleled sections on the ecc99. using it to drive a mosfet source follower.

Hey A-Geek,
Why not go for a transformer from bifilar-specialist Dave Slagle at intact audio. He custom-makes every transformer to its use.
