Default Golden Tube

Hi All.
I have a GTA SE-85 that is a real piece of work.
I was still working at a dealer when I purchased it for personal use some 11 yrs ago, and if anyone knows about these (they don't work........period) i have listened to it maybe 10 hrs in 10 years.
The problem is, according to a tube amp guy I have looking at it, that the screen's are at 700 volts and EL-034's should be at a max of 425 volts.
If anyone has had any luck with finding a way to correct these to work properly I would love to know.

It is like this.

Dave,

Do you have a schematic?

My 1st thot would be to regulate the screen supply (for pentode) or put a level shifter on the screens (psudeo triode)

Thanks to Ty. I got a look. The resistor in series with the EL34 screen grid limits current. Still, I think Planet10 gave good advice. Have the tech install a Maida style regulator in each channel. Not only is the g2 voltage held within published limits, regulating g2 B+ is a proven method for improving the linearity of full pentode mode O/P tubes. Full pentode mode is what I see in the drawings.
