Aikido buffer/gain selector?

Hi,

I want to build an Aikido preamp for use with two poweramps. On is Pass F4, needed 25dB gain and the other normal poweramp needing only buffer of CD/volume level.

Question is:

Is it possible to insert signal between the two stages via coupling cap from a "direct input" (cap connected between the two 1M resistors at grid at follower stage)?

If possible, the I can design the input selector between no gain and high gain....

Yes, it is certainly possible, if the cap has sufficient voltage rating.

But you will lose the volume control function for that direct input...

Edit: however, I don't know what the input impedance at that point will be. Maybe someone more experienced can chime in.
