Hi,
I want to build an Aikido preamp for use with two poweramps. On is Pass F4, needed 25dB gain and the other normal poweramp needing only buffer of CD/volume level. Question is: Is it possible to insert signal between the two stages via coupling cap from a "direct input" (cap connected between the two 1M resistors at grid at follower stage)? If possible, the I can design the input selector between no gain and high gain.... |

Yes, it is certainly possible, if the cap has sufficient voltage rating.
But you will lose the volume control function for that direct input... Edit: however, I don't know what the input impedance at that point will be. Maybe someone more experienced can chime in.
