So with these different layouts does a person have to worry about hum and what not from the rectifier tube much?? Just playing around with some different layout ideas and thought I would share.

My first simple se running some 6l6gc, that needs some finishing yet on the chassis.

Put the power transformer on the opposite end of the OPTs. If you're going to make it rectangular, this will do an excellent job of spreading things out. In terms of distance, #2 is basically the worst possible layout.

At the very least, swap position of PT and rectifier in the first, so the PT can be slightly farther away from the OPTs. No, it doesn't look good, but you asked for best, not prettiest.
