Subbing in a TVC - input load Q

Gents,
If I take a 'standard' 100k volume pot out of a circuit and sub in a TVC; do I need to load the output of the TVC with a 100k resistor before the grid of the tube ?

No need to terminate the tube grid, a grid stopper is probably a good idea and you may wish to connect 100K across the whole secondary winding though.

Yes - sorry; you stated this better than I did. This is specifically what I was trying to ask. I guess I can try either way once the amp is built when I to to test w/a square wave.
