I'm looking for R Core power trafo, either existing one, or custom ordered one.
The trafo's minimum data should be: Primary: 0-230V or 2 x 0-115V, 70W (or more than 70W). Screen. Secondary: 1. 310-0-310 Volt, 100mA (or more that 100mA); 2. 0-6.3V, 1A (or more than 1A); 3. 0-9V (or 0-10V), 2A (or more than 2A). or 4. 0-9V (or 0-10V), 1A (or more than 1A); 5. 0-9V (or 0-10V), 1A (or more than 1A). Also, I'm looking for choke, 20H, 100mA (or more than 100mA). Are there available such trafo and choke? Alternatively I'm looking for source known for quality products, custom ordered R Core power trafos and chokes. Does anybody have experience with those trafos?: Audio Catalog And those chokes?: Audio Catalog |

Hi Joshua,
maybe you have taken notice of my thread: Bare R Cores and bobbins, where??? The R-cores are popular mainly in the far east as you may have noticed. No matter of you are looking for output transformer or power transformer, the availability is spares. If you Google with the keywords "R-core" and "eBay" there are a few, of course you can go to eBay and search directly, but the offers aren't many... If you find anything please reply to my thread as well I'd appreciate that as I am looking for power transformers and chokes preferably made of R-core too, good luck! Cheers Michael |

I tried their chokes as plate load for the 6SN7. I would say it works but it is not well designed for such purpose.
