I just got my hands on 2 akai m8 preamps / amps.
I am in NY and I am looking for someone willing to modify them for me. pm me with quote. I have ordered everything except a new microphone input transformer so far.
I started working on 1 so far using the info here Beyond Sanity Productions
I have removed excess components and I'm at the stage to rebuild the preamps but I am reluctant because i do not want to mess them up.
( started the right, the left is untouched )

Hopefully someone who has done the mod and confident and capable will have some free time and be willing to charge me a decent rate to do them.
I am looking to add a xlr mic input and use mainly for tracking from keyboard/guitar and using for vocal tracking into computer.
