I dropped in the Sheldon Stokes (Triode Electronics) cap board into my PAS3 in place of the old caps and selenium rectifier and it sounds pretty damn good. Nice to have a fuse in there, too. Boy, are the inputs on my PAS3 total crap. I think the next step will be to replace them with a new unit and rewire them to the selector switch, and may replace it. Most of them do not work properly with a CD player signal anyway. May also get a new transformer.
What are folks ideas on the next and best sonic upgrades now that the cap board is done? |
