Over on the Pass Labs forum the subject of the Alpha-X and BOZEN-X has been realy hot. But they rely on n and p chanel
fets. With tubes could we use a triode in inverted mode as the complement of a regular triode....... Hay! I just thaught it was worth thinking about. Regards, Bob12345678 |

Hi,
Complementary tubes do not exist...although it would be great to have that kind of feature. It would certainly make OTL amps much easier to design. Alas,

Hi,
That's as close as you'll get to a compliment. However, although the voltage amplified output signal comes out at a more negative voltage, it is in-phase with the input signal. Is it useful? Right, who's game? Cheers, |

Hi,
The inverted triode mode does not make for a nice complement... Steve Bench? I doubt our threadstarter is even remotely aware of that mode of operation, John. Cheers,
