i like it as well,...
i think the knobs succeed in making it stylish while maintaining the minimalism of the cuboid form factor.

No, would have needed more plastic and general tackiness to look like a System 60. Whoops, showing my age.

I think it looks fine. She-who-must-be-obeyed wouldn't allow such a thing in the living room but it looks good for the amount of effort required to make it. And that makes it good design in my book.

If you look around on the forum, you will find many things he has designed.

He actually builds stuff that looks good, and it even works

One can sure hope for a remote, cause actually turning those knobs with your hand, is not going to be fun in the long run.

Magura

I don't think it would give anyone RSI, but to me it just looks daft.
Seriously, my initial thought was that it looks like the failed project of a special ed student who was trying to build a broom broom car, but couldn't quite figure out where to put the wheels.

Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder, they say ... My opinion is that that is one ugly box but then again I'm just a "wannabe" and not a "good designer". Chinese produce better looking designs (especially once all the LEDs are stripped off).
