Wow, those went fast. I'll get another 10-12 posted tonight, and get more PCBs on the way.

Hi Pete,

I expect I ought to be able to figure this out, but no luck yet... Can the INA134AP take an unbalanced signal from the SC output? I looked at the datasheet, but it wasn't so obvious that even I couldn't miss it.

EDIT: Okay, I looked at the datasheet again, and elsewhere, and it looks as though an unbalanced source is okay but CMRR will be degraded, depending on the impedence of the SC output. Is that correct?

Thanks. Looking forward to building up my board over the holidays.

Regards,
John

Yup, should be no problem, just connect the (-) input to GND. Keep in mind the Zout of most sound cards is quite low (between 0 and 100 ohms, usually), so the influence on CMRR is not so bad.

I got mine in the mail today. Looks good, but I won't have time to build it until next year. If enough of these get out there, they could become a "standard interface" such that the DIY community can accurately compare measurements. I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing though.
