i want to add a tube buffered effect loop to a band master. there are a lot of kits, but im just going to do my own. i wanted to know if the power transformer can handle another 12ax7 without any issues? all the kits dont specify whether you need to make a separate supply or upgrade the one in the amp.

PS and the heater of one extra 12ax7 probably adds only a few % to the total wattage the PT would normally need to supply. Why would you need to use a loop on that amp? I wouldn't think the 2nd stage of either preamp distorts. Maybe you have a line-level rack setup?
