vintage triode

hi, this the first time i post in this tube forum, i just ordered 26, 27, 37, 56, 30 and 1h4 tubes, i want to build a line preamp, which one of them you think is best?

hey-Hey!!!,
Either 56 or 27 would be my first choices for a simple build. 26 and 30 are directly heated which will complicate things a bit. Don't know the rest. Fred Volz of Emotive Audio did some nice work with type 27 for instance.
