Default 200+/- USA Tubes Plus "Weston Model 891" Tube Checker

Hi,
I am new to this site and a complete novice in most things "tube". But, I am currently awaiting my first tube amp and am very excited.
Anyway, as luck (?) would have it I just came into possession of aproximately 180 new packaged tubes (all 1960's vintage USA made) with about another 100 of the same type in various used condition, plus a really neat large portable Weston Model 981 Type 3 Tube Tester.

As I don't have a need for these I am looking to sell them all. So, the age old question... "What are they worth?" I know it's rhetorical because I'm not saying what tubes they are. So, I am trying to figure out how to post jpgs to this forum and will have about six good photos posted by tomorrow.

Thanks,
Greg in West Palm Beach

not worth a thing - send them to me for safe and honest disposal...

LOL - you are in a VERY nice position. I don't know what they are worth on flea-bay, but with a little time sorting them into lots by type, you should come close to (or possibly exceed) paying for your amp...

I'd keep the lot - now you are hooked into this site, you will have to feed the monster anyway!

I second that you keep them, as you won't regret doing so later! There are useful tubes in the numbers that could be seen. Really nice assortment! Send some to me!

What kind of tube amp?

Be carefull with tube tester as you can damage those nice NOS tubes. Some tube testers are damaging to tubes even if you set it up right, so I read on tube tester info sites etc.

All the best!
Randy
