Default Gary Pimms "self bias ccs" - guide for dummies

The new pimmlabs page is informative but I miss a setup-guide for the self-bias CCS, one for the "d.." like me.
The 14V target over the resistor I get (I think), but how much drop do you need over the CCS as a hole for it to work properly. It is the mosfet only version I wanna use.

The 14V of bias is between the upper gate and the lower source. Add the voltage across the current setting resistor and a few on top of the upper drain and you'd have a reasonable minimum I think.
the Tnuctipun will return
