Cool amp

First time I see three transformers kissing each other. It takes two to tango but what about three?

The web page shares the same philosophy, so much in so little space.

Its not the transformers themselves, its cages.

One of them might be a big choke for the power supply.

The two "front" ones are most likely the output transformers. It's a SE stereo design from the looks of it.

The wiring on that amp is a work of art.

I think the amp is based on a principle called STC - Super Triode Connection, where a triode is used in a feedback loop in a fashion that gives the OP-device, be it a tetrode, pentode or a transistor triode characteristics. Built one of those with ECL82. Works OK.
