Hi.
I have make a few passlab class A amps so now I think it's time to make a tube-amp. I also have assemble two tubeamp kits for some friends, one of them is model 16LS from tubedepot. The 16LS did not impress me much. So after a lot of search I'm still confused. Therefore I need suggestion for a very good sounding tubeamp.

I consider the simple SE from tubelab.
Will this be a good choice?

Very well could be the OPTs, or caps they include with the kit

I'm surprised you got any bass with those teeny OPT's.
Maybe try hooking up the amp to some better quality transformers. How efficient are your speakers? Jeff Last edited by vinylkid58; 6th September 2009 at 08:16 PM. |
