Hi,
I want to draw up a list of valves which are pin compatible with the ECC88 / 6DJ8 type base configuration. I know of the ECC85, 6N1P, 6N2P, but what else? I'm not worried about functional compatibility, or different heater current requirements, I'm just looking for the same pin-configuration. |

The 6DJ8 has the 9AJ pinout. Go get yourself a copy of Duncan's TDSL personal edition. Use the search tool to find all the tubes with the same pinout. There's too many to list here.

6922 - the Sovtec's aren't bad. I've never heard a 6DJ8 that sounds good to my ear and I've tried a lot of them Frank http://newmex.com/f10/ |

6BQ7, 6BK7, various other similar numbers like 6BC8, 6BZ7, 6BS8. Also 6AQ8, 6DT8, 6CG7, 6GU7, etc.

And let's not forget the best, IMHO, the 7308. and the best 7308, IMHO, the gold-pinned Amperex PQ or USN. I have a pair of USNs which are beyond incredible.

7dj8 AKA PCC88 is pin compatible and functionally compatible, except for the heater voltage.
6n23p/6H23, 6n1, 6N11, CCa, CV5358 and Ecc189 / Pcc189 also come to mind, though the last two are remote cutoff tubes. Have fun!

If its Zaerix its probably Russian or East European. Give us a picture of the pins, getter and anodes.
