Understood!
SE OPT was testing but hearing test in different material in TVC was testing already. PP OPT need sometime because I search the tango NY-45-5 permalloy PP OPT arrive my hand no more than one day. Last edited by TVC; 28th November 2012 at 10:39 AM. |

Any know of a source for permalloy parafeed OPT 5k:32 for headphones ? Seam impossible too find.

![]() why not considerate to choose full permalloy core. the sound was different as the silicon steel.( less Grained sound )more detail,atmosphere . If compare with amorphous core. more sweet and sense. Last edited by TVC; 28th November 2012 at 01:17 PM. |

I am new at this. If I were to use a amorphous core for a SET amp, which original circuit was for a normal core is there any modification that needs to be done to the circuit. Oon |

other than due diligence in making certain that the circuit values for maximum AC signal and DC plate current are within the limits set by the mfg.

I recently tried to get a 8k ct 25va output transformer and really struggled to find one in stock. I eventually got one on ebay.
So its seems I am lucky to get any never demand core types.
