Brit01 said:guys, there are 3 types of RK27 also.:
Snap-In Potentiometers 2-GANG 100K AUDIO
Potentiometers Flat 20mm 100k
Potentiometers Slotted 20mm 100k
What is the difference here?
Look at the datasheet (there is a link on Mouser)
One has a slotted shaft (for a knob or to use a screwdriver for turning)
There other has a flat on the shaft to aid in keeping the knob from rotating independently of the shaft when the knob is fastened with a setscrew or a knob with a D-shaped hole.
Lots of noise
Question regarding a 10K alps I already have.
Lats night I put it into one of my linestage/headphone amps.
I'm getting huge amounts of noise when I go anywhere near the metal volume knob and hell breaks loose when I touch it.
Do I need to ground the outer casing or what am I doing wrong?
I have the third prong attached to the star grounding system.
