Hi all,
i am trying to put together an SE amp, and am trying to scout for parts. the design will be either tubelabs simple se or his tubelab se. the biggest problem i am facing is the OPT's.Have any indian Diyers sourced OPT's locally?i read somewhere that viren bakshi of lyrita audio gets his OPT's made locally but has anybody got details on pricing availability and minimum orders? i am willing to import but i fear that the shipping will be very expensive, probably more than the cost of the transformers.... i have never built tube gear before and am hoping that i will not get dissuaded by the unavailability of components.... any help/advice would be really welcome... thanks in advance, mymindinside p.s. has anyone had experience getting tubes from these guys? http://www.be3amplifiers.com/accessories.html |

Do you have any friends or family visiting the USA?
Edcor Transformers are great little performers for the money. Maybe someone could pick you up a pair while in the states. Rolf. |
