Default Help identifying resistor value

I need some help identifying the value of this resistor, the schematic says it's a 47K, so it should be in that ballpark...

Thank you.

The picture you supplied is very poor quality. However, I copied it and was able to enlarge it and adjust the brightness level. The colors do look like yellow (4), violet (7), orange (3)(zeros) and gold (5%). So, 47,000 ohms and looks like a film resistor of about 2 watts compared to the small one.

What amp is it? Looks British to me, not Marshall, Hiwatt, Vox, or Laney. Maybe we can find a schematic and then we'll know what the resistor value is if you can't measure it.

Sometimes even if you have the resistor in you hand you can't tell if a band is orange or red. In those cases simply use a meter a measure it.

You will have to un-solder one end or if you are lazy cut one lead. Not to bad to waste a resistor in order to measure it. They are less than five cents each.

In a photo, no one can be sure of the color and we certainly can measure it.
