I have a pair of both and have built a (rather nice sounding) Push Pull D3A ->(interstage)->PP 2A3 ->fisher 800 6k6 OPT amplifier. I'm wondering if it's worth my while experimenting with the parafeed autoformer splitter.

I have used both; 5842 ->(interstage)->PP 6B4G ->Sansui 1000A 6k6 OPT . I prefer the interstage, it is more neutral, but the autoformer is not bad at all. The autoformer is in the amp now, the interstage is going into a PP 300B project.

Autoformer is cheap enough to play with, why not?

I know, this is a very old post, but I just came across it, and the OP is still active...
