Default 6528/8080 Triode - NOS Only ???

Hi!

Anyone can suggest me - are the 6528/6080 triodes available only as NOS? No new production so far at all?

May be there are Russian/Soviet era analogs ?

Many thanks for any help

Hi,

As far as I know there are a few low mu regulator valves available from former USSR:

6C33C is the most powerful single triode, more so than a 6336A in parallel.
Then there are the 6N13P (if I remember it correctly) which is identical to the 6AS7G double triode (coke bottle style 6080) and the 6C19P (kind of half a 6080) which has no US or European equivalent that I know about.

6528 is very hard to find NOS. Last ones I picked up, over twenty years ago, were in Bresil.....

Of the lot, the 6AS7-G and 6080 are the most commonly available.

Cheers,
