What do you mean    ?

With both of my projects (807 amp, 6BQ6GTB amp) 12db(v) of gNFB made for a definite solid statey sound. When running with 20db(v) of gNFB, that 807 amp didn't sound any different from that solid state rig it was to replace. If anything, it was worse. May be the softer types of music could stand 12db(v) of gNFB, but that left hard rock (Ozzy, Nirvana, etc.) and Techno sounding "lifeless". 6.0db(v) was just enough to fix woofer underdamping, and get rid of that excessively "aggressive" sound without losing too much "edge" to bring it back to life.
