Just wondering if I could use 6GU7 in place of the 6Fq7 (input tube) in my Bas Aikido board. Would I have to change cathode resistors?

Hi.
I think Broskie mentions in hi latest entry about using that tube. |

Thank you
I haven't been to his site in over a year. I found the article. I tried the 6Gu7's without any circuit changes and they sound great. |

You should increase Rk, though, if you use the 6GU7.
In my Aikido (240v B+) I use 470 ohm for the 6CG7 and 560 ohm for the 6GU7. |
