Looks like the ones I've seen under different labels, usually on Ebay.
But, I could be wrong... |

I have a xiang sheng 708b headphone amplifier. Bought it used off of head-fi, and for the price I paid, the dang thing is an incredible value. With a little elbow grease, I upgraded it quite a bit for not too much of a cost.
Great gear for the price. |

I also have a Xiang Sheng 708B preamp/heaphone amp. Overall it was decent for the low price, but build quality is not really that great. Also in mine as well as some of the other 708B that I've seen the parts were of low quality. Many resistors were chipped, some of the electrolytic caps had dents, volume pot was a cheap poorly balanced carbon, some solder joints were in need of being redone, and none of them have had their chassis properly tied to ground for safety. Also in the US 110V version the heaters run quite high at anywhere from 7.5V up to 8.3V when used at 120V.
I don't know if this all applies to the rest of XS products, I've only played around with their 708B. Also I bought it about 3 years ago so they might have updated things. Honestly I'd probably pass on them IMO. |
