I'm repairing a T L Audio VP-5051 voice processor for a mate which has been dead since 2004. Diagnosed the toroidal power transformer with shorted turns on the primary winding blowing the 1AT fuse. Up the fuse rating with all winding open circuited on variac and she gets hots within seconds..
As I see it it has dual 115V primary winds for series parallel 115V/230V selection.
Secondary CT 36Vac?? for +/- 15V regulated rails.
another for HT for ECC83's somewhere around 150-180Vac
and lastly ac wind for valve heaters rectified to 6.3V I guess.
Transformer was made by TALEMA looks to be around 80VA
part number 91516 P2S4
I'm aware it was custom built for TL audio as TR1020 although their website suggest to drop them an email and they pass on pass on the winding details. Nothing back for 3 weeks. Figures..
Picture attached
I would appreciate any info if possible.. Shame for it to collect dust in a box.
Cheers
Rob
